  1. There is something about organ music that sets me off on a journey & some of that is down to discovering your blog. Claudio, forgive this late comment; I can’t remember the particular previous post that the following refers to! Some years ago I listened to a radio programme when Horatio Clare (a nature writer) walked & talked about his journey from Arnstadt to Lubeck, in the footsteps of J. S. Bach. You might be interested to know that Clare wrote a book about that journey. Here are the details:

    1. Yes, it’s very interesting, thanks.
      We talked about Bach’s journey from Arnstadt to Lübeck when you asked me if Franz Tunder (organist in Lübeck) had influenced Handel. Alberto Basso wrote about that journey in his two-volume work Frau Musika: la vita e l’opera di Johann Sebastian Bach (Frau Musika: the life and work of JSB). Basso is a renowned Italian musicologist: I was his collaborator when he published an important Italian musical encyclopedia 🙂
